MEANWHILE AT THE MOVIES... KONG VS NARNIA

No contest...

KONG IS THE WINNER!

Narnia was boring, and uninspired, but technically sound. I loved the books as a child, but it really felt like a half hour, to an hour, worth of story, drawn out way too long (kind of like this sentence).

Kong, though self indulgent, and at times over the top, was massive movie-screen magic, a sight to behold, and masterfully done. From the writing to the acting, directing, and of course the effects!
A must see movie.

see, i'm looking more forward to narnia. sadly, i already knew it was way too long for the amount of story. i mean, the book is about 200 pages, with slightly larger type on small pages, written as a childrens' fantasy.

whereas kong has jack black!!!

anyways, i just keep catching up on your blog, commenting...

Ah, that must be why I read all the Narnia books as a child...
(Sides the awesome stories, natch)

Jack Black yes, not Frank Black, or AC DC's Back in Black, or even Jack White of the White Stripes...
oh shit, now I've confused myself.

But anyway, it's kind of like School of Rock with a giant ape, if it were a Tolkien movie, uh, with Adrien Brody, and a slightly-beyond-vanilla Aussie actress...

Er...
yeah.
