I SAW IT ON TV: Lost 4.end

If you're as big a Lost fan as me, then last night was a big one.
The show is top notch all around, but they really go all out with each season finale, from blowing the lids of mysterious hatches, to giant 4 toed statue foot remnants, to mind bending flash forwards... the finales pack a wallop.

So how about season 4, last nights wrap up?

While not as crazy as season 2 or 3, it is a slow burner, stacked with plenty, and plenty, of tasty morsels.

I won't go into all of it, but man, I'm still in love with this show, and can't wait (8 months) for more!

If you follow the show and haven't checked it out yet EW.com's Doc Jensen is an indispensable source of scholarly Lost knowledge, check out season 4's finale wrap up HERE

SUPER REAL NOTES - Personal Sketch Cards

Haven't posted much lately, been real busy, working on many things, but if you have checked in here lately, you know I've been doing sketch cards. Both for Marvel Masterpieces, and also custom cards to sell.

Well, I recently took some of the custom cards I'd done, and created mini prints, actual card size (2.5x3.5"). A set of 15 different cards featuring an assortment of movie and comic characters, each with my info on the back and card number, to make a little collectible set to sell and give cards away with commissions and such.

Here's a look at the first set (side pic)

I'm selling the complete set of 15 cards for $7.50ea (shipping included).
If you're interested in picking up a set, just PayPal funds to jasinmartin@hotmail.com or email me.

I'll try and return soon with a full display of the Marvel Masterpieces series 2 cards I did (all 200)...

I SAW IT ON TV: at least, what my DVR recorded of it...

Missed the ending of the American Idol finale...
Yes, I watch the show, and yes I saw the finale, but for the second straight year, we missed the very end, as for some reason FOX can't seem to put the correct run time in the programing.

Had I remembered before the show, like I did as it was winding down, that we'd likely miss the end (recording stopping prematurely) I could've corrected the record time and caught it all.
At least it doesn't cut out before the reveal.

I'm somewhat surprised, believing the votes had to be for that other munchkin David.
How cool, and a good show too, loved the Tropic Thunder guys (Stiller, Black, and Downey JR) as Pips, and it was good to see George Michael get it together (guess I'm a sucker for troubled artists)!

Oh yeah, and I Am Your Brother, together forever! (Love that guy!)

Now, isn't Indiana Jones about to start...

Tune into a Turner network tomorrow at 7:58PM...

SUPER REAL NOTES - Stumptown Jav-wrap

Weekend before last was the big local indie (or artist if you ask the promoters) comics show, Stumptown Comics Fest, which brought my bud, LA area creator Javier Hernandez, up to town for the show.
It was a weekend and couple extra days of comics, sight seeing, and good times (and uh, a looming sketch card deadline)...
Jav-man recently put his wrap up of the events on his blog, so pop over there to check it out HERE
(That's our Chihuahua, Choco, pictured above, not our house guest Javier! ;)

SUPER REAL NOTES - Much brewin

Hello all,

I've been keeping pretty busy as of late, in terms of what I've been working on...
A combination of things really, my day job resuming, the 200 sketch cards deadline (this past Wednesday, phew) for Upper Deck's Marvel Masterpieces 2 series, a series of 5 straight weeks of shows (Stumptown last weekend, a FCBD event tomorrow, and Emerald City Con wrapping things up next weekend), and the release of Gnome a couple weeks back. So yes, in addition to that I've been cooking up other things :D

As I've hinted at, in addition to Super Real (which has it's own developments of late I'm still chewing on), I've got another project I'm creating, that's continuing to move forward, on a global, kick ass scale... we're getting closer to me officially unveiling that....

Also, work continues to set up future volumes of the Super Real Graphics Presents original graphic novella series (with some potential really big news there cooking as well!)...

So, stay tuned, many things are under way, and coming to you all soon.

In the meantime, be sure and check out Super Real Graphics Presents: GNOME if you haven't, it's been receiving great critical response, and is a gem of a read!!

I'll be back soon with a comprehensive listing of my Marvel Masterpieces sketch card work (but many of those are in my DeviantArt gallery if you haven't seen them)!!
