Celebrity Zombies, 80′s Fun and More!-Review of “Night of the 80′s Undead” #2

80's undead 2 coverOnce again I’ll say it – if you like the 80′s…or carnage…this book is for you!  Issue #2 has even MORE zombie fun, more carnage, more of everything as it sends you on a wild ride through the amazing imagination of Jason Martin.  When we last left this story, that Hollywood party was getting way out of control thanks to some Soviet-tainted cocaine.  If you think last issue was wild…you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
LIGHT SPOILERS ONLY
The two young ladies who snuck into the party last issue are shocked to see what has happened here…and to be honest, wouldn’t you be if you saw all this gore?  The two eventually take very different paths to dealing with the situation…and those paths just may be critical.  Meanwhile, anyone up for some celebrity cameos?  There’s more than enough fun, gore, sex, drugs and rock and roll for any reader in this issue!
Just a quick word about the cover - this homage to the Bwa-Ha-Ha Justice League of the late 80′s is done exceptionally well.  Jason Martin scripts and colors the book, with pencils by Bill McKay.  No, I didn’t leave out the inks…this book takes a unique approach to get the desired artistic effect by going straight from pencils to colors, and it works here.  This is not a book for the squeamish…but it is a fun romp through the zombie genre that will have you thumbing back through time and time again to be sure you didn’t miss any of the 80′s references.  Also, don’t forget the soundtrack…yes, this series DOES have a soundtrack, with even a QR Code to take your smartphone to the songs.  This is about as much fun as you can have with the undead…don’t miss it!
