FAN ART: Stranger Things
We binged the show last July like everyone else... such a great mix of all things dark and 80s!
I wanted to do a fan art, but there was so much. I decided a full cast lineup was best, even though that meant drawing 11 plus people!

FAN ART: Star Wars the Force Awakens
Loved the movie, especially the new cast and Harrison Ford's last ride as Han Solo! Finally finished up a fan art a little while ago.

FAN ART: Walking Dead new guys
So I've done a couple cast lineup fan arts for THE WALKING DEAD, roughly speaking I did a season 2 (classic) lineup, and a season 4 to season 5 (current) lineup.
I watched the season finale anxious to see if many of them got slaughtered, and surprisingly, they did not. So I've created this new small piece to stand alongside the existing one.
It features, Eugene, Rosita, Abraham, and Tara, who have all joined the larger group in the last season or two.
Here are the two previous lineups!
We'll see how long it takes for the newer ones to become completely outdated!

FAN ART: Dr Who
I'm loving the new season of DR WHO, and also quite like the new 12th Doctor as played by Peter Capaldi.
Earlier this year, during the 50th anniversary celebration, I started a fan art cast lineup of all 12 Doctors, but got pulled away and only ever finished the first Doctor. Upon returning to work on it just recently, I decided it was best to work my way from the most current Doctors back in time. So, I've recently completed my take on number 12, the new Peter Capaldi Doctor...
And also Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor.
I'd watched a little bit of Doctor Who when it was on PBS in my youth, with the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker (he of the frizz fro and the impossibly long scarf). And I tried to watch it when the new series began several years ago and it was airing on Sci-Fi (back before it was SYFY)... but couldn't get into it. As the show went on however, I kept hearing folks rave about it, so when they rebooted with the new Matt Smith 11th Doctor regeneration I decided to give it another shot, and absolutely fell in love. It's truly a quirky, and very British, treat of a show, and Matt Smith was incredible in the role. That said, its great how the show reboots itself and casts new actors in the role, so I'm fine with the companions, and even the Doctor himself changing.
At any rate, here are the two I have fully finished, and I hope to get to the rest of the Doctors farily soon (David Tennant is already on his way)!

SDCC 14 wrap up
Just to record some stuff that I posted around the socials here on the blog for prosperity...
At San Diego this year, not only did Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple stop by the table and check out my fan art, he was cool enough to pose and endorse JMart ;)
Also, a fan took my cast fan art to be signed by all of the cast, and Lauren Cohan posted a shot of her (and Steven Yeun) posing with it to her Instagram...
And to finish off here with a Walking Dead wrap-up trifecta, here's a Daryl commission I did at the show (which is an homage to the classic Spider-Man issue featuring the first appearance of Punisher)...
It was the best show ever, and I can't wait to go back next year!
Be sure to check out my social feeds from late July for tons of cosplay and show floor pics!!

San Diego Comic-Con 2014
Lucky number 11 for me.
Been exhibiting since 2003, it was in fact, my first show ever. Almost had a movie deal the first night. The show long ago doubled in size from what it was that first year for me, and has become such a giant chaotic beast, but I still love it. So many good times and good friends had and made.
I'll be in the small press area again, space L16.
This year I'm lucky enough to table next to my good friend and partner-in-crime Dave Dwonch.
Yep, look out San Diego convention center!!!
I'll have some brand new fan art prints, and most all of the Danger Zone books. As well as the debuting in mere hours Zombie Tramp issue number 1 - co-written by yours truly (and colored, and lettered).
So now I'm off to some last minute items and then in the air first thing tomorrow AM for sunny San Diego.
See you there!

I'll be in artist alley - NN 01
I'll have the 80's Undead and some other Danger Zone trades, the Super Real sets, and fan art, lots of fan art... including this brand new Breaking Bad piece
Was never able to fit this one in on top of the DVR load, but man, it was worth the wait. So had to do something Br Ba.

Wizard World Portland tomorrow!
The 2nd annual Wizard World Portland starts tomorrow, and I'll once again be exhibiting in artist alley (B62).
I've created some new fan art just in time for the show... an updated Walking Dead cast shot.
I'll also have copies of the 80's Undead trades!!
The books look great, and it's really exciting to have a second book of mine to put on the shelf!
It's going to be a good show.

TEE DESIGN: Burgundy Man
Hey look, it’s a 70’s news reporter, with a fancy burgundy suit… in a super style, man!
It's my latest tee design, just in time for the legend to continue!
You can pick it up now on my RedBubble page HERE
This is a mash-up of the famous anchorman and the iconic Superman cover/image (from Superman 14)... replacing the man or steel with the man of salon quality hair!

TEE DESIGN: Cobra Fett!
I've known for ages that I wanted to do some sort of Cobra logo tee of some sort, I just love the red on blue design so much. And for a while I wanted to do a Cobra/Boba Fett mash-up fan art, Cobra Fett, how damn cool is that?!?! But it took forever for it to occur to me that Cobra Fett was the perfect Cobra logo design too!
So here you go. Two of the coolest things from the 80's become one. Geek nirvana you can wear.
I give you, COBRA FETT
I'm quite proud of myself.
